Rainbow Eyes from Long Live RnR has the same start as Hey Joe. And Hey Joe and Led Z Whole lotta love use some of the same notes with the D on the A string bent slightly out of tune on W L L. Musicians have always been inspired by each other !

I learned to play the electric guitar as a child, listening to Ritchie Blackmore. To play his musical pieces, the Vox Ac 30 Top Boost from 1960 whit Fender Stratocaster '57 is the most suitable amplifier.

I got to see DP long ago after Ritchie left and tommy stepped in. Never got to see Ritchie. Jon was an awesome sight on stage he was rocking (literally) the instruments he was playing. DP were a huge band having large influence on players and Jon was too

The first album that bought when i had 13 years old. I am 59 now and after 585 LP'S in my collection is still the best live album for me

Best songs of DP were made by Blackmore/Coverdale imo. Like Burn and Stormbringer. Loved the time when Coverdale was on lead vocals and Glenn Hughes on bass. Saw "California Jam" at least dozen times.

Rest in peace dear Mr.Lord. We are miss you.

I bought this two-record set when it was released. Deep Purple’s “Made in Japan” changed my life.

The late, great Jon Lord. Child In Time from the album is the greatest live version of a song ever recorded imo. Made In Japan's 52 years old now but it's still regarded as one the finest live rock n roll albums ever made.

I think Jon says everything was made under incredibly difficult conditions ! I love it though 😀 I tend to think as a whole Deep Purple and its associated bands created the best rock music … they all never stopped !

Wonderfull insight by Jon Lord. Indeed, when you wan't to listen the Machine head songs or grasp the musicianship and live performance energy of this band in its prime - you listen to the Made in Japan LP.

I would like to see a video of the albun. But I think what we hear in the albun is a mix of those shows in Japan.

The version of Highway Star on this album has Ritchie's career best solo.
